Koningin Máxima opent de jaarlijkse borstkankermaand tijdens een bijeenkomst ter gelegenheid van het veertigjarig bestaan van de Borstkankervereniging Nederland (BVN) in World Forum The Hague. Tijdens borstkankermaand wordt ieder jaar in oktober wereldwijd aandacht gevraagd voor borstkanker. Het thema dit jaar is ‘Borstkanker heb je niet alleen’ met speciale aandacht voor de rol van naasten en de impact die de ziekte ook op hen heeft.

Queen Máxima opens the annual breast cancer month during a meeting on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Dutch Breast Cancer Association (BVN) at the World Forum in The Hague. During breast cancer month, every October worldwide attention is drawn to breast cancer. This year's theme is "You don't just have breast cancer" with a focus on the role of those close to you and the impact the disease has on them.
